tshirt quilt
  • memory quilt project

Earlier this year I had the opportunity to work on a very special project for someone. I was contacted by a sweet customer early this year about making a couple quilts out of her mom and dad's shirts. She saw a patchwork teddy bear I made after my husband's father passed away and wanted something similar for her and her brother. Due to space and time constraints, I made the quilt tops and then she found someone to quilt them for her.

I was excited, honored, and nervous to take on such a meaningful project but very pleased with the outcome. Each quilt top measured about 2 yards by 2 yards, the perfect size to snuggle up with on a chilly day! The fabrics were a mix of t-shirts, dress shirts, and a couple sweatshirts. Thank you, Stephanie, for trusting me with such a special project!
